God is truly “God of gods and Lord of kings.” Nebuchadnezzar sends a letter throughout the world which testifies to the greatness of the God of Israel in how he humbled the most powerful man on earth and brought him to his knees. Yet, even in this, God poured out His grace by preserving the stump of a ruined tree so that the king might once again be restored. God hates pride and will bring low those who set their faces high in order that they might have their senses restored and praise the true God of Heaven.
