Continuing on in our Matthew series, we come now to the final hours of Jesus’ life. In this passage, Jesus urges His disciples to pray for strength to endure through the temptations that are about to come, knowing that He was about to be betrayed by Judas, denied by His disciples and falsely accused by the religious leaders. Pastor Timothy show us that everyone needs Jesus’ salvation. No one can save themselves. The spirit is indeed wiling but the flesh is weak,we continually need to recognize it’s only by God’s grace through Christ that we have victory and can serve Him.
