New year, same series. In working through the greatest story ever told, we come to Matthew 24 and hear Jesus teaching his disciples about his guaranteed return to rid the world of sin and to rescue people from its effects. In this passage, we discover that Jesus’ return has cosmic and global affects, and we also realize that Jesus’ return is the next thing to happen in the story line of God’s redemption. All of these facts are to cause Jesus’ followers to anticipate his return daily.
