Be Silent and Fear God

In this text, Solomon now comes to the point of warning his listeners about false worship. Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 warns against hypocrisy in worship and hasty words uttered before God. We are exhorted to approach God, the Creator, with a holy fear and reverence and are to come with quiet and listening hearts. Do not be quick to make vow to God, but instead cherish the vows He has made with you.
