Scripture Text: Hebrews 2:1-4

Do you find Jesus to be so satisfying, so beautiful, so superior that you cannot take your eyes off of Him? Is He the object of your gaze? The writer of Hebrews tells us in the beginning of chapter 2 that if we are not gazing at Jesus, then we are fixing our eyes on something inferior. Beware of losing your awe and wonder of Christ. This is the fruit of one who is drifting away from the faith.

Gaze excessively at Jesus because…

1. The gospel is superior in retribution (vv. 2-3a).
2. The gospel has a superior Mediator (v. 3b).
3. The message was affirmed by witnesses (v. 3c).
4. The message was affirmed by God through miracles (v. 4).
