Scripture Text: Ephesians 2:1-10
The Reformation of 1517 ignited a flame on the European continent, soon to envelope the world. Its primary objective was to point people back to the truth of God’s Word and put an end to the ever-increasing power and doctrinal fallacies of the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic Church did teach that grace was necessary for salvation, but they also believed that more was necessary for salvation. The doctrine of Grace Alone counters the Roman Catholic Church’s teaching that grace was not enough. Pastor Timothy, speaking from Ephesians 2:1-10, highlights the truth that salvation is by grace alone apart from anything we can do.
