Ecclesiastes 10:1-11 (click here to read passage)
In Ecclesiastes 10:1-11 Solomon tells us how a little folly in a man’s heart can lead him to destruction. Therefore, the wise contemplate their paths and succeed while the fool lacks sense.
God doesn’t leave his wise ones in foolishness, but he changes their hearts and turns them around so that they can grow in their love and obedience to him. If you’re a Christian who is struggling with this obedience (which is all of us), Jesus promises he will never leave you nor forsake you. And some day, in the end, Jesus will separate the “sheep” from the “goats” and will raise you up to everlasting glory! Foolishness will be destroyed. Wisdom will be exemplified. And this all happens because of Jesus.
Foolishness will be destroyed.
1. Foolishness affects our actions (vv. 2-3).
2. Foolishness can take control (vv. 4-7).
3. Foolishness is impatient and leads to failure (vv. 8-11).
