Pastor Timothy shows from 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 that by our triune God’s design, each local church is blessed by the Holy Spirit with diverse spiritual gifts and should value every member as part of a fully-functioning ‘body.’ A local church that values a certain gift above all others (as the Corinthian church overvalued speaking in tongues) is much less effective, causes strife, and diminishes the Gospel.
May we long to love like Christ loves us, and therefore serve one another like Christ, with whatever gifts God has given us.
