As we continue on in our Matthew series, Jesus begins to tell His disciples of two parables – the parable of the ten virgins and the parable of the talents. Jesus reveals more about the Kingdom of Heaven and that His sudden return should breed persevering preparation. As we ponder Jesus’ teaching on His return, we should daily, hourly, moment by moment train our hearts to be always yearning for Jesus’ return and always seeking to live in faithful perseverance until we see Him face to face. Those who long for Him and await His coming are the ones who will enter the wedding celebration.
