Church Family & Friends,

I wanted to take a moment before I begin my Study Sabbatical next week Monday to express my heartfelt gratitude to the many people in our church family who have stepped up in order to make this a reality for me. I’m immeasurably grateful for the many trained and godly people who are serving you in expanded capacities so that I can devote myself more to the study of important topics (Biblical Theology and caring for the abused), the study of the Word and also to devote myself more to prayer. I trust that this time will yield greater fruit in my life and hence in the life of Ventura as well. I also pray that this time strengthens our church family as we grow in serving one another. Again, as I think through the many people serving, my heart is filled with thankfulness to all of you – including the elders and those who will be preaching.

While I will be preaching this coming Sunday (1/24), I will not return to the pulpit until March 28. I already can’t wait to preach again! That said, I want you to be aware of the men who are preaching, along with their texts/topics. Please be praying for them to grow closer to the Lord and to seek to serve you as they prepare and preach.
