Ecclesiastes 2:12-17 (click here to read passage)
In this sermon, the “preacher” of Ecclesiastes continues to testify that everything “under the sun” is vanity including the wisdom of man, and that only true wisdom can come from God through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1. Under the sun, wisdom brings greater benefit than foolishness
2. Under the sun, wisdom cannot give eternal significance because death takes away the wise
3. Only GOD’S wisdom (i.e. Jesus) gives eternal gain, significance and remembrance
